Sarah Jane Taylor (born 20 May 1989 in Whitechapel) is an English cricketer. She is a wicketkeeper-batsman known for her free flowing stroke play, opening the batting in one day matches and batting in the middle order in Tests. She was a member of the England team which retained the Ashes in Australia in 2008. She plays county cricket for Sussex. In the Super 4s she is playing for the Emeralds for 2008.

2010/11 was Ellyse Perry’s fourth season in the Women’s National Cricket League and she hasn’t even celebrated her 21st birthday!

She was once again one of the Lend Lease Breakers’ leading bowlers with eight wickets in the Twenty20 competition at an average of 17.50, and best figures of 3-12. In the 50 over competition she took 13 wickets, the most in the competition, at 9.23. Her 5-11 against the ACT were also the best ever figures achieved by a NSW bowler in the WNCL.

She was selected for the Australian team to play New Zealand and England but in a rare occurrence, she was dropped for one of the Twenty20 internationals against England. However, she bounced back in the one-off Ashes Test, taking four first innings wickets in the team’s victory.

Perry also took on the boys last summer, playing for Sydney’s Poidevin Gray Shield (U/21) team for one round. She opened the bowling and took two wickets in her four overs, with her appearance helping to raise money for the McGrath Foundation.

Jodie Fields Australian Women Cricket Captain Biography and Pics 2011

Jodie Maree Fields is the current Australian Women's cricket captain who is a wicketkeeper and right-handed batter.
Fields became Captain of Australian Women (the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars) for the 1st ODI against England at Chelmsford on 29 June 2009.
After playing in one Test match in 2006, Fields was recalled to the Australian test team as captain for her second test which was against England on 10 July 2009 also becoming the first Queensland woman to captain Australia. She rescued her team after its score had slumped to 5-28 recording her maiden test century with a "captains knock" of 139 out of the team total of 309. This included a record sixth wicket partnership with debutante Rachael Haynes (the fifth highest partnership in International women's cricket). The match was eventually drawn after rain on the last day.
Fields grew up in Toowoomba, Queensland playing boy's and men's cricket at school before playing women's cricket at University. She debuted in the state team, Queensland Fire in 2000.
Originally a bowling all-rounder for, Fields graduated to specialist batter then wicketkeeper/batter in 2005-6. She won Queensland Fire player of the Year awards for the 2007-8 and 2008-9 seasons and has been captain since the beginning of the 2008-9 season.
Fields debuted for Australia as JM Purves subsequently changing to JM Fields after marrying former South Sydney National Rugby League player Glen Fields in April 2008.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Queensland and currently works in the finance department with Queensland Cricket.
